JEE Main Result 2021 Live Updates: JEE Main 2021 results for session 4 exam is expected anytime soon. JEE main 2021 result will be available on the following official websites:

  • nta.ac.in

 

Students can check the JEE main result using exam roll number.

 

This is the fourth session of JEE main 2021. This year, the exam was held four times; two additional sessions were added in the engineering entrance exam in order to give more time and chances to aspirants. 

 

The JEE advanced registration begins on September 11 and the exam will be held on October 3.

JEE Advanced 2021: Last year candidates to appear for exam 

Joint Admission Board (JAB) allows candidates, who missed JEE (Advanced) 2020 due to being COVID-19 positive, to reappear in 2021. The decision was taken in October 2020.

Further, it was decided that these candidates would be considered in addition to and not as part of the total number of candidates who would qualify from JEE (Main) 2021 for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2021.

JEE Result: Where is All India Rank used 

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others. All participating Institutions that do not use the Centralized Seat Allocation Process will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE (Main) 2021 and other criteria as decided by them.

The result of JEE (Main) - 2021 of the candidate(s) who indulge in Unfair means Practices will be cancelled and will not be declared. Similarly, the result of those candidates who appear from the Centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate/person to write the exam on his behalf will be cancelled.

JEE Main Result: Reservations 

In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:

  • 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.
  • 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.
  • 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*
  • 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.
  • Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability

JEE Main Result 2021: Tie breaking criteria revised

In 2020, NTA had revised the tie-breaking criteria for JEE Mains result. The JEE Main tie-breaking method for JEE the Engineering paper was that candidates with higher NTA scores in Mathematics will be given preference, followed by NTA scores in Physics, and Chemistry. If the tie remains, candidates with less proportion of negative responses will be preferred, followed by candidates older in Age.

JEE main result 2021 session 4 soon: 24 candidates had secured 100 percentile last year

Last year, the agency conducted the JEE Mains from September 1 to 6, 2020, at various centres spread across the country. The examinations were held amidst the coronavirus precautionary measures.

JEE Main: Last year over 2 lakh candidates had missed exam

Last year, in JEE main exam, over 2 lakh candidates did not appear for the exam, which was more than double the number of absentees the previous year, according to data shared by the Union education ministry in the Rajya Sabha. According to the data, of the 858,395 registered candidates, 649,612 took the exam this year, leaving over 200,000 absentees.
