Pathaan release and review highlights: Shah Rukh Khan tweets about his ‘comeback, film mints ₹230 crore worldwide

“Twas #Pathaan day today!! Whatta grand spectacle & full masala!! Everyone just TOP NOTCH! I’m normally not a fan of action but @iamsrk makes fight sequences also dreamy & romantic! Loved the cheeky banter all through! Bollywood’s answer to many naysayers,” Swara wrote in a tweet.

“Am I a fan of SRK? Yes. Since the early 90s (when I came across this young Delhi boy in person) Have I seen Pathaan? Nope. Will I? Maybe, maybe not. But the fact that most of India is flooding the theatres carries a meaning that goes beyond box office returns. Meaning? Up to you,” Lisa Ray tweeted.

“I was insisting and asking @iamsrk to change name #Pathaan. But he was sure that this name is perfect. And finally he has proved that he is still Badshah of Bollywood and I am a ‘Jandu Baam’ in front of him,” wrote Kamaal Rashid Khan in a tweet.

As per a report in DNA, Pathaan has crossed ₹230 crore at the global box office in just two days. It has left Sultan behind, which had collected ₹210 crore globally in 3 days.

Scott Mendelson of The Wrap wrote on Twitter, "#PathaanMovie is spectacular. It's a terrific, gleefully over-the-top action melodrama that delivers everything anyone who follows Indian action movies could want. It's a little too long, but it's even better (and even more accessible) than 'War.' It's awesome."

Fanclubs have shared photos of people flocking to theatres in London to catch screenings of Pathaan. The film is doing stellar business there as well.

The team of Animal came together to watch Pathaan. These included Rashmika Mandanna and Ranbir Kapoor.

Kangana Ranaut has been sharing tweets about the success of Pathaan and how many are calling it a win for love over hate. “All those who are claiming Pathan is triumph of love over hate,I agree but whose love over whose hate? Let’s be precise, whose is buying tickets and making it a success?Yes it is India’s love…” she wrote in a tweet. She went on to say that Pathaan doing well in a Hindu majority country shows our inclusivity. “Lekin all those who are having high hopes please note… Pathan sirf ek film ho sakti hai … goonjega toh yahan sirf Jai Shri Ram,” she said.
