The Union home ministry said on Wednesday that owing to the prevailing security situation in Afghanistan and the streamlining of the visa process by introduction of the e-Emergency X-Misc visa, it has been decided that all Afghan nationals henceforth must travel to India only on e-Visa. India's daily tally of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) saw a major increase on Wednesday as 37,593 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 32,512,366, according to the Union health ministry's update at 8am.
