Russia-Ukraine war updates: As the Russia Ukraine war continues for its 82nd day, NATO secretary general said that Russia's war in Ukraine is “not going to plan” and that its attempt to capture the eastern Donbas region has "stalled". US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Sunday on the sidelines of NATO Foreign Ministerial meet in Berlin. The two leaders discussed security and economic assistance for Kyiv.

The fighting between the two countries has led several people to flee the war-torn country. Thousands of people have been killed in the war and several others have been injured.

‘Won't approve': Turkish Prez on Finland, Sweden's NATO bid

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that the country will not approve Sweden and Finland's bid to join the US-led military alliance NATO. In a news conference, Erdogan said Turkey would not approve their bids to join NATO, calling Sweden a "hatchery" for terrorist organisations, and adding they had terrorists in their parliament, Reuters reported.

In a statement on Monday, American fast-food giant McDonald's said that it will will exit the Russian market and sell its business to local buyers in wake of its invasion of Ukraine. McDonald's in March closed all of its 850 restaurants in the country, where it says it employs 62,000 people. “The humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, and the precipitating unpredictable operating environment, have led McDonald's to conclude that continued ownership of the business in Russia is no longer tenable, nor is it consistent with McDonald's values,” the company's statement added.
