We have an advice for filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and it's a simple one: Think before you tweet.

Hot on the heels on India's embarrassing World Cup 2015 semifinals loss to Australia on Thursday, the controversial Hindi filmmaker rolled out one distasteful tweet after another. On a tweeting spree, Varma talked about everything from how he hates cricket to how he's happy the Men in Blue lost out on the world cup.

This is what the Satya director tweeted minutes after Team India's loss, "I am sooooo happyyy India lost."

And before you start hating his guts for saying the unimaginable, the man who was once famed for his out-of-the-box films, went on to tweet, "I hate cricket... And if there's anything I hate more than cricket, it's the people who love cricket."

But RGV didn't stop there. He elaborated on his rather 'twisted' thoughts by tweeting, "I hate cricket because I love my country. And cricket makes my countrymen most non-productive, because they stop working and start watching (cricket)."

And just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, RGV tweeted this (all of these in a span of less than an hour), "I request the other countries' teams to defeat Indian team again and again till it stops playing (cricket) and Indians stop watching (it) and start working."

Predictably, the Sarkar director recieved backlash for his rant on Twitter and found himself dealing with accusations of being insensitive. There was a sea of anti-RGV tweets, literally.

Prashanth (@itisprashanth) wrote: We should stop respecting idiots like u. so u will not have a voice to call us idiots.

Another user Latha Srinivasan (@latasrinivasan) posted: Seriously #wtf is wrong with you? What sh*t are u smoking up??

Reacting strongly to RGV's tweets, Ritesh Seth (@RiteshSeth) said, "Your films are a national disease to be honest."
