Snakes, venom recovery: Raids held at ISBT-17, Delhi airport
The Chandigarh police held raids on Thursday to nab the accused in connection with the recovery of Sand Boa snakes and 600ml snake venom from a private bus on Wednesday.

Checks were carried out by the police and People for Animals (PFA) functionaries at the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Sector 17, and the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, where police questioned bus drivers and conductors, besides taxi drivers to identify the accused. The police are also scanning the footage of CCTV cameras at ISBT to get clues.
Police said a drop of venom was sold between Rs 20,000-25,000 and the buyers used it in rave parties.
The 600ml snake venom has been taken from at least 1,000 cobra snakes and can be used by at least 15,000 consumers.
