RRB RRC CEN 01/2019 notification released. Recruitment for Level 1 posts will begin today to fill 1 lakh vacancies. Check exam pattern, application fees, details of vacancies and how to apply, here.

RRB Recruitment 2019: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has uploaded the official notification for CEN 01/2019 on its official websites. There are a total of 103769 vacancies.

The application for the 1 lakh vacancies will commence from March 12, 5 pm. The last date to apply is April 12, 2019. Candidates are advised to apply online from the official RRB regional websites only.

Last date to deposit the application fee is April 23 through online payment while for those who are paying through SBI challan or post office, they should pay it before April 18, 1 pm. The final form submission should be done by April 26.

The tentative exam date is September- October 2019.

RRC CEN 01/ 2019 : DETAILS OF VACANCY

The Level 1 posts category includes vacancy for Track maintainance Grade IV, Helper/assistant in various technical department, assistant Pointsman and and level 1 posts in other departments. However, a detailed notification will be released before the application process that will have all the details related to the vacancy.

RRB Recruitment 2019: Exam Pattern

For all the notified posts under CEN 01/2019, candidates will have questions related to general awareness, maths and general intelligence and reasoning for a total of 100 marks. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

The exam will be of 90 minutes and 100 questions will be asked. 25 questions from each, general science and mathematics will be asked including30 from general intelligence and reasoning and 20 from general awareness and current affairs will be asked.

Eligibility for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET Three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this ratio as required to ensure availability of adequate/reasonable number of candidates for all the notified posts. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:

Male Candidates: Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down ; and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates: Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; andShould be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

The CEN 01/ 2019 recruitment notice of 1.3 lakh vacancies was released on February 23. There are 1 lakh vacancies for RRB level-1 posts while the rest 30,000 posts are of paramedical staff, non-technical popular categories (NTPC), ministerial and isolated categories.

Application process for RRB ministerial and isolated categories began on March 8.

For RRB Level 1 posts, the application is scheduled to begin on March 12, today.

RRB Recruitment 2019- Application fee: The application fee for general candidates is 500 and for candidates from reserved category it is 250.
