He said, "From 2015 to right now, mai jo kaam leta hu wo chukane ke liye (Since 2015, whatever work I accept it's to pay off that debt). I feel so sorry for myself and for my family- what am I giving them. Agar meri jagah koi aur hota to (if someone else was in my position),he would have committed suicide. I am down in the worst debt of my life. Mai dhas chuka hu, waisa waala, sar bhi bahar, waisa nahi hai. (I am deep in debt).

"I have had three-four cases on me, which have gone," he added. As Sara looked at him in shock, the actor said, "yeah, for not paying money back." He added, "For me this show is a lifeline."

Kaaranvir was announced as a "prisoner" on Lock Upp for the crime of stealing the limelight. When host Kangana Ranaut told him that he has been accused of being a loser because he has participated in many reality shows but had never won any, his wife Teejay had hit back on the tag through her Twitter account.

"If a successful TV actor who doesn't win reality shows is a 'loser..' then what about reality show winners who didn't become successful actors? Are they losers, too?," Teejay tweeted.

Kaaranvir rose to fame with Kasautii Zindagii Kay and was also a participant in the reality show Bigg Boss 12. He also participated in the fourth and seventh seasons of dance reality show Nach Baliye, the sixth season of dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 and the adventure reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5.
