Badshah and Prem-Hardeep had composed Kala Chashma, which was sung by Amar Arshi, Neha Kakkar, Indeep Bakshi for the 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho. This year, Badshah has sung four songs, Tabahi, Voodoo, Trap Munde and Tauba.

Voodoo was a trilingual anthem in Hindi, English and Spanish and was a collaboration between Badshah with Latin star J Balvin. It was used for the launch of Apple's new AirPods Pro at its far-out event. It released in April and gained attention from appearances on New York Times Square, making its presence felt across top playlists and short video platforms in various countries.

Talking about the song, he said, "This collaboration of mine on Voodoo with J Balvin who's the biggest Latino superstar is extremely groundbreaking and very important for the Indian music industry and for my career as well. This collaboration just puts all of us onto another pedestal altogether. I'm really happy to see that Voodoo has crossed over and has such a long life."
