Pyjama pret: You can wear these nightsuits to work

Designers across the globe are increasingly blurring the lines between nightwear and daywear. Here are some such looks that made heads turn at a few recent fashion weeks.

Giraffe print isn’t commonly seen on garments, and that too on a sleepwear-inspired ensemble. But, Huemn uses this print in a chic way in a pyjama-and-shirt creation, paired with a grey overcoat.

Designer Kriti Tula pairs a woollen overcoat with a classic pair of polka-dotted pyjamas. A shirt, tie-up shoes, and a pair of spectacles make the night-suit look cool, even for a day affair.

High waist culottes-styled pants with a club collar full-sleeved shirt makes this Thakoon Panichgul ensemble a great example of how sleep-in clothes can be worn in the day.

At designer Céline’s recent Paris Fashion Week show, dainty satin and lace dresses showed the acceptance of nightwear as day clothing.

Givenchy’s satin, net and lace slimline gown is sensuous, and gives this traditionally worn nightwear garment an interesting makeover. Designer Haider Ackermann gives the satin nightgown a twist by throwing in a bikerleather jacket.
