Angelina Jolie hit the Annie Awards red carpet -- industry honours held in celebration of animated movies -- with two of her daughters, Shiloh, 11, and Zahara, 13.
Shiloh, whose resemblance to father and Jolie’s ex-husband, Brad Pitt, seems to be growing more pronounced as she gets older, was wearing a black suit. Shiloh has been known to dress in boyish clothes ever since she was two-years-old.
In 2008, Brad Pitt went on Oprah Winfrey’s show to promote his film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He discussed his relationship with Angelina Jolie and what it’s like to be the parent of six children; he also spoke about his then two-and-a-half-year-old child Shiloh. Jolie told Vanity Fair in a 2010 interview that Shiloh has been exploring her identity since the age of three. “She wants to be a boy,” Jolie said. “So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”
Jolie’s film as producer, The Breadwinner, was nominated for 10 Annie Awards, winning the Best Independent Feature prize. The film, about a young Afghan girl who must dress as a boy to earn money to support her family, has also been nominated for a Best Animated Film Oscar.
Jolie and Pitt abruptly filed for divorce in late 2016. They have six children together -- Pax Jolie-Pitt, 14, Maddox, 16, Shiloh, Zahara, and the twins, Knox and Vivienne, 9.
