After arresting two factory officials the cops may be gunning for JK Agrawal owner of Triveni Sheet Glass Works whose name also figures in the FIR for the murder of Amrendra Pandey, the trade union leader, but they are probably still oblivious of the direct role played by three persons who allegedly perpetrated the crime.

If police sources are correct the Ghurpur cops were still unaware of the identity of Bhaskar of Bainga village and the other two--Veer and Arvind who belong to Iradatganj.

The trio allegedly shot dead Amrendra while he was heading towards his house after purchasing vegetables from the nearby market on that fateful day. Amrendra who was on a bicycle was reportedly stopped first and then shot from point blank range even though he tried to escape.

Insiders say the three alleged shooters who have criminal background are at large. They went underground just after the murder. And they had enough time for the same as nobody's attention was drawn towards their role.

Agitated workers of the factory indulged in violence instead of trying to find out who were the real shooters. Had they turned their attention towards this fact the culprits would have been arrested and it could have brought immense relief to the police.

As of now cop's job has got doubled. On one hand they are trying to arrest JK who too has gone underground and on the other they were still trying to figure out who the killers were.

Sources said, Bhaskar, one of the alleged killers, has disappeared with his family while the other two are on the run. This fact also gives weight to the possibility that the trio fled away separately to keep themselves away from the police reach.

Once cops succeed in arresting the three alleged killers it will be easier to know whether they killed Amrendra out of personal animosity or were hired by the factory management to carry out the killing as was being alleged by almost every body associated with the trade union activities of the factory and the role played by Amrendra.

As far as Amrendra's image in the eyes of workers is concerned, he appeared to have been enjoying their perfect confidence. For them he was like a warrior who would plunge himself into any kind of situation when it came to fighting for their rights.
