Venting his ire at the CM, Khursheed said, “The Congress party extended support to the Samajwadi Party to form the government in the State but after assuming power, the CM is following the dictates of the BJP leaders.”

The CM had deceived the entire State and for this he would be taught a lesson soon, added Khursheed.

He stated that Rahul Gandhi would soon launch a campaign in the State to consolidate the party.

Commenting on the resignation of Bihar Governor Buta Singh, Khursheed said that the post of Governor was very important from the Constitution point of view.  “It’s true that the Supreme Court has some objections on some of the decisions taken by Buta Singh but the political parties reacted hastily on the issue,” pointed out Khursheed.

He also pointed that out of the five-judge bench of  the Supreme Court which delivered the verdict  against Buta Singh two were against this decision.

On the confrontation between the Judiciary and Legislature, the State Congress president said that it was another facet of changing time.

Earlier, addressing the gathering at Nanarao Park leader of the Congress Legislative Party Pramod Tewari described the general secretary of the Samajwadi Party as a ‘Joker’.

“Amar Singh is making so much hue and cry on the phone-tapping because he is worried about the tapes being disclosed to the public,” stated Tewari.
Taking a dig at the CM’s statement that his life was in danger, Tewari said, “ When a CM cannot safeguard his life then how come he will be able to protect the masses.”

Also speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal vented his ire at both the SP and the BJP.

“ SP has failed on all fronts and the State is in the grip of criminals,” stated Jaiswal.  Commenting on the BJP leaders, Jaiswal said,” After being out of power they have lost their mental balance.”
