The V-C, while talking to the Hindustan Times, said any further decision on regularisation would only be taken after the State Government frames a policy on the issue.

He said that since most applicants have come up with illegal constructions on KDA land itself, it was a daunting task for the authority to regularise every case.

The V-C, however, admitted that constructions have been regularised earlier also. Elaborating, he said that regularisation had been done only after permission from the KDA Board.

Similarly, KDA has also banned alternative allotments of lands till a databank on the same was prepared. The V-C said that a database was being prepared to know the exact number of applicants and alternative land available with the KDA. The V-C, however, said that the order was an interim one and a final decision would be taken only after databank on the same was prepared.

The V-C ruled out any change in Tatya Tope Nagar, Chaitanya Vihar, Visayakpur Bangar, KDA Colony, Azad Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Ext-1 schemes where it has been decided to refund allotment amount to the applicant, if the land happens to be a disputed one. He said this was being done on an experimental basis and any further decision would be taken only after seeing the result.
