Maurice Ouma was called up from Kenya's Under-19 team to make his debut for Kenya in the 2003 Sharjah Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Batsman and occasional wicketkeeper he could well be a big asset for the upcoming Kenyan side.

In 2004, he faced Pakistan A and India A in a triangular series, where he scored 51 against India A. In first class matches he has accumulated 204 runs in 8 matches.
