According to information, when fight broke out between the two brothers, elder brother Kishman told the younger brother Mangal, 23, that he had developed a liking for his wife and he should get out of his way so that he could marry her. This angered Mangal further but before he could do anything Kishman axed him to death and fled with his wife.

Mangal had married a woman from Jhansi in UP about three months ago after she eloped with him from her village in Jhansi. The two settled in Mangal's village Fardua and started working as labourers to make a living. Mangal's unmarried elder brother Kishman also lived with them.

One day when Mangal had gone out of village, he raped his younger brother's wife. The woman didn't reveal the incident to his husband to avoid any hostility between the two.

This encouraged Kishman to have sex with his brother's wife several times after that. He also expressed his intention to marry her. On Saturday, the woman revealed his brother's conduct to her husband.

An angry Mangal took on Kishman, who in place of showing any regret asked him to get out of his way so that he could marry his wife. As the altercation grew further, he axed Mangal to death and fled with his wife. On way, the woman, somehow, ran away from him and reached Aswar police station and narrated the whole story.
