Ordeal of a mother ends at dept head?s residence

DESPITE KNOWING about the medicos strike, a private eye hospital on Thursday added miseries to a five-year-old girl, Nirjala, by referring her to LLR Hospital. The doctors at Jawahar Lal Rohatgi Eye Hospital asked Nirjala?s mother Nanhi of Ashok Nagar, Kalyanpur to take her daughter to LLR Hospital as condition of an eye of her daughter got deteriorated.

The doctors at Jawahar Lal Rohatgi Eye Hospital asked Nirjala’s mother Nanhi of Ashok Nagar, Kalyanpur to take her daughter to LLR Hospital as condition of an eye of her daughter got deteriorated.

Hapless Nanhi rushed her to LLR hospital and when she failed to get any medical assistance at the Emergency, she went to the residence of department head of medicine Dr Sachan where she got her daughter treated. Before getting any medical help for her daughter, Nanhi ignorant of the geography of GSVM premises had to struggle for hours to reach the residence of Dr Sachan with blood flowing out from her daughter’s eye for more than an hour.

Claims exposed
The tall claims of UHM Hospital of providing prompt medical care during strike were exposed today when a 5-year-old boy had to suffer for hours before he was admitted in the hospital that too after the intervention of scribes.

Hans Kumar Rathor along with his parents Rajendra Rathore and Kalyani reached the hospital’s emergency at 11.00 am on Thursday. Hans was injected vego by the doctor but only after getting Rs 100 from Rajendra. Dr SH Gupta, who was attending Hans asked his father to get the child admitted in the hospital under Dr Ramji Khanna. But, the latter denied him admission by saying that there was no need for it but Hans crying with pain outside the emergency ward got the notice of the scribes present there.

There after, kin of other patients and scribes put pressure on the doctors then only the bed ticket of Hans was made and he was admitted at 5 pm.
