RAHAT KULSHRESHTHA is the proud leader of the Scindia School (Gwalior) Band that is participating in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi and bringing pride to Madhya Pradesh also.
The youngsters of Scindia School, one of the best and oldest educational institutions of the country, have undergone a tough, three-month training and are now ready to march on the Rajpath without missing a beat, or a step, for that matter.
However, Kulshreshtha and his 48 schoolmates are still not complacent and are practicing continuously. Kulshreshtha says the students are happy that besides hearing their band's tunes, the people all over the country would also watch them.
They are proud that their school is participating in the Republic Day parade after 14 years. Kulshreshtha is happy because he has been made the 'Major'. Rehearsals in the early-morning biting cold of New Delhi is uncomfortable but the desire to win the trophy makes such matters small things.
