Security beefed up in Chennai's residential area
One of the busiest residential areas in the city, KK Nagar, has been brought under security cover following an e-mail warning of terror attacks in the area.

According to a senior police official, vehicle check-up has been intensified on all roads leading to KK Nagar, while security in religious places and markets in the area have been beefed up.
Metal detectors have been placed in such places and police patrolling has been increased. As a precautionary measure, bomb disposal squads and ambulances have also been kept ready, the official said.
"We have instructed people not to touch any unclaimed objects and parcels and also asked tour operators to keep a tab on new persons coming to book vehicles," the official said
The Delhi-based TV channel India TV had received an e-mail on Saturday, threatening bomb blasts at various places in Chennai, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
