Protests against sacrilege intensify in Nabha

The bar association abstained from the court work. Gian Singh Mungo said the police handled the peaceful protest in Behbal Kalan in illegal manner.
Jabar Julm Virodhi Front held a meeting in civil hospital under the chairmanship of Surjit Singh Gurditpura to discuss the ways to intensify the protests against the administration and the government. Raj Singh Todarwal, president of the front, said the administration and the government are collectively responsible for the atrocities.
Nabha Youth Congress under the leadership of Inderjit Singh Cheeku, president of the Nabha AYC, carried out a candle light march against the sacrilege and raised a demand to put the culprits behind the bars.
On the other side at grid chowk, Akali Dal Sutantar jammed traffic and staged a dharna. Paramjit Singh Sahauli said the government is not efficient in safeguarding the interests of the public at any level and it is handling the issues in non democratic ways.
