Arsenal equalised the highest score-ever in the Champions League to maintain their 100 percent record at the top of their group.

Arsenal equalised the highest score-ever in the Champions League to maintain their 100 percent record at the top of their group. In London, Arsenal continued their march into the knock-out stage of the competition, with their third victory in as many games in Group H, beating Slavia Prague 7-0 Tuesday night.

Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott each scored a brace for the Gunners, with Alexander Hleb, Nicklas Bendtner and an own goal from David Hubacek giving the home side their convincing win.

In the other group game Sevilla seemed to be in total control after Frederic Kanoute and Luis Fabiano gave the home side an early two-goal lead against Steaua Bucharest. But the Spanish La Liga team failed to capitalise on their dominance and had to hold on for their 2-1 victory after Steaua pulled one back on the hour through Ovidiu Petre.

Arsenal top the group on nine points, three more than Sevilla, while Slavia Prague have three. Steaua still have to open their account.

The other Premiership side in action Tuesday, Manchester United, also scored a convincing victory - winning 4-2 at Dynamo Kiev in their Group F game.

Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney put United two goals ahead by the 18th minute before Diogo Rincon pulled one back for Kiev in the 34th minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored with a header four minutes from the break to give United a two-goal lead at half time. The Portuguese international added a second in the 68th minute, before Ismael Bangoura scored a second for the home side.

United scorer Rooney said that even though the score made it look easy, the game was not. "Away games are always difficult and it was certainly not the easiest of matches. "I am scoring a lot of goals and I am enjoying my game and enjoying playing with Carlos Tevez upfront. At the beginning of the season we could not score, now we can't stop scoring. United lead the group on nine points from their three games, while AS Roma, who beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1 in Italy, have six points. The Italian side missed a penalty in the 48th minute. In Group E, Germany's Champions League woes continued as VfB Stuttgart crashed to a 2-0 defeat at home to Olympique Lyon - a result that leaves them rooted to the bottom of the group without a point. Stuttgart's coach Armin Veh, who has seen his side slump to seven defeats in their last eight games, said that they deserved to lose the match.

In Glasgow Rangers held Barcelona to a goalless draw to take both teams to seven points. Lyon have three points.

Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor said that he was pleased that he had not conceded a goal. Coach Walter Smith said that he was delighted to get the point.

In the earlier game played Tuesday former European champions Inter Milan came from behind to win 2-1 at CSKA Moscow in a Group G game played in the Russian capital.

The home side took the lead in the 32nd minute after a neat combination between CSKA's two Brazilians, with Daniel Carvalho playing the ball to Jo, who curled it into the corner, beating compatriot Julio Cesar in the Inter goal. It took the visitors just seven minutes into the second half to equalise through Argentina's Hernan Crespo who latched onto a header from Esteban Cambiasso. Walter Samuel scored the winner for the Serie A side with ten minutes to go and even though CSKA threw caution to the wind in search of an equaliser in the final minutes, it was a case of too little too late. The result leaves CSKA still waiting for victory in the Champions League, while Inter move to the top with six points, one more than Fenerbahce who played a goalless draw in Eindhoven against PSV, even though they had Deivid sent off in the 65th minute.
