Small wonder takes on big art and how!
With over 150 works spanning over six years, an exhibition in town features artworks by child artist Aarav Verma. The Delhi boy started painting when he was four, and what started as a mere hobby has now bloomed into a passion that could compete with big names in the art world.
As you view his artworks, the variety of mediums used and the keen sense of space and colours will make it difficult for you to believe they have been created by a nine-year-old boy.
With over 150 works spanning over six years, an exhibition in town features artworks by child artist Aarav Verma. The Delhi boy started painting when he was four, and what started as a mere hobby has now bloomed into a passion that could compete with big names in the art world.
"In the beginning, Aarav started with simple shapes and things that he observed. But as he grew up, we noticed that he was born with a talent that we needed to nurture. From that day onwards, we decided that we will do our best as parents and will encourage and support him all the way," says Yogesh Verma, Aarav's father.
Even though Aarav can not really explain what his artworks are, he says that they are whatever is in his mind at that moment; a direct representation of his thought. He also told us that apart from art, he is really interested in learning new magic tricks. Has also has keen interest in Egyptian mythology, aliens and dinosaurs.
"When I grow up, I want to discover alien life or spot a UFO. I may also pursue my interest in dinosaurs and someday discover a fossil," says Aarav. The young artist will host a live art demonstration at the exhibition venue and hopes that people appreciate his love for art.
