Tilak Nagar Election Result 2020: AAP’s Jarnail Singh wins

Congress candidate Raminder Singh Bamrah was contesting against AAP candidate Jarnail Singh and Rajiv Babbar of the BJP for the Tilak Nagar Assembly seat.

AAP candidate Jarnail Singh won West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar constituency with a margin of 27,403 votes. Singh bagged 63.12% of the votes cast (58,201), followed by BJP’s Rajiv Babbar who bagged 33.4% of the votes (30,798). Congress candidate Raminder Singh Bamrah secured 1,636 votes.

Tilak Nagar is a suburban assembly seat that comes under the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Counting of votes is underway. The constituency has around 1,46,940 eligible voters in this constituency. Jarnail Singh was contesting from the Aam Aadmi Party against Raminder Singh Bamrah of Indian National Congress and Rajiv Babbar of the BJP.

Currently, AAP’s Jarnail Singh is leading in this constituency.

At 11:12 AM AAP’s Jarnail Singh was leading by a margin of 8947 votes, according to ECI data. By 12:02 PM, Singh pushed the margin to 15211.

Last updated at 3:02 PM, AAP’s Jarnail Singh had bagged 64.63% of the votes at Tilak Nagar. He was followed by BJP’s Rajiv Babbar with 31.87%.
