Indore, Betul to receive heavy rain in next 24 to 48 hours
Indore and Betul districts may witness heavy to very heavy rainfall in next 24 to 48 hours, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhopal has warned on Tuesday. High velocity winds of 48 km/hour will also sweep over these districts, the weatherman said.

“A deep depression, prevailing over the Arabian sea, is likely to hit Diu on Wednesday night which may enter state via Indore and Hoshangabad division. This will lead to heavy to very heavy rainfall in these two divisions,” said director regional meteorological centre Bhopal Anupam Kashyapi.
Besides this Ujjain, Bhopal, Narsinghpur and Chindwara district may also witness moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, warning of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Alirajpur, Barwani, Khargone, Dhar, Jhabua, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori and Anuppur districts in next 24 hours has been released by MeT office.
According to MeT officials, monsoon has covered 75% of the state till Tuesday. Entire state is expected to get covered by June 26. MeT officials said the predictions regarding progress of monsoon which were made earlier have proved correct.
Medium to heavy rainfall is also expected at most of the places in Ujjain division excluding Mandsaur and Neemuch in next 24 hours. Similar conditions will also prevail over Hoshangabad, Sagar and Damoh district. Scattered rain is expected in rest of state in next 24 hours.
Unlike Monday, weather in the state capital mainly remained dry on Tuesday. The sky remained cloudy, but no rain was witnessed. MeT office predicts Bhopal may witness moderate to heavy rainfall in next 24 hours.
