Nadda, the party president, is the BJP’s star campaigner for ongoing polls in Bihar. Bihar assembly elections are being held in three phases.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) president JP Nadda on Saturday targeted the opposition Grand Alliance over the issue of development in Bihar during a rally in Sonepur, which will vote in the second phase of the assembly elections on November 3. Nadda also reiterated his party’s promise to offer 1.9 million job opportunities during the campaign rally.

Nadda clarified that the BJP’s promise of 1.9 million jobs means creating 1.9 million opportunities for employment adding that a person in Bihar would not only be employed but provide employment to others.(ANI file photo)

“The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is an anarchist party, the Congress is anti-national, this is the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. Will this alliance ensure development?” Nadda asked as he posed another question to the people whether they want a ‘laltain’ government or an ‘LED’ one.

He clarified that the BJP’s promise of 1.9 million jobs means creating 1.9 million opportunities for employment adding that a person in Bihar would not only be employed but provide employment to others. “We have said that we will provide 19 lakh job opportunities in Bihar. The person here in self-sufficient Bihar will do his business and give jobs to others. Industries of makhana and fisheries will be promoted,” Nadda said in his public address. As he made the comments, he also slammed the RJD over its promise of 1 million jobs in its election manifesto and said the government led by it had caused migration in the state.

Over a Pakistan minister’s claim the Imran Khan-led government was involved in the Pulwama attack in 2019 and that his country had entered India and beaten it on its own soil, the BJP president targeted the Congress party and its leader Rahul Gandhi’s earlier statements of demanding proof.

Speaking on the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Nadda said that Jawaharlal Nehru once highlighted that it would go on its own. But it didn’t happen when the Congress was in power and only became possible under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah, he said.

Nadda is the BJP’s star campaigner for ongoing polls in Bihar. Bihar assembly elections are being held in three phases. While the first phase was held on October 28, the second phase is slated to be conducted on November 3 and the third and final on November 7. Votes will be counted on November 10.
