is equally about boys: “It’s not a chick flick. Movies like

Khoon Bhari Maang

are since the heroine kicks and punches the villain.”

He believes it was a boon and a bane to be on a set ‘dominated’ by women. “On Day One, I was horrified to find well-fed women and two-three haggard men on the sets. I realised that women always had the food, while men, like vultures, had the leftovers,” Sahukar jokes.

He admits he’s jealous of his character because he’s from a business family, has studied abroad, is naïve and protected.

“I was also brought up in Delhi. I studied at St Columbus School where Shah Rukh Khan once studied. Girls who didn’t like me agreed for a date because they found me okay since I had been to SRK’s school,” laughs Sahukar.

Playing Randhir for Sahukar was a case of Dr Jekyl and Ms Hyde because unlike Sahukar, he wasn’t ‘witty or cool’. “Behind all bad poetry, there is genuine emotion. This line helped me understand Randhir. So, while Aisha was being shot, in my head, I was making a movie on him,” he grins.

So how did he land the role? Sahukar replied, “My good looks and muscles fetched me the role. I took off my shirt the first time I met the girls. They yelled with excitement and cast me instantly.” Really!
