Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' out of scene!
After pursuing 'Heroine' Kareena Kapoor for a long time, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has finally decided to drop the film for good. He'll now work on a male-dominated subject.
Madhur Bhandarkar must be cursing the day when he announced his film based on Marilyn Monroe's life, Heroine. Kareena Kapoor, who was being considered for the lead role, wanted her character to be altered, according to one set of sources.
Another set of sources said that Kareena was not interested to do the film as Madhur insulted her good friend Loveleen.
While few of the gossipmongers suggested that Kareena found the role strikingly similar to her own life.
Whatever may be the reason, Madhur Bhandarkar got the cue, and without wasting much time, he dropped the film. The decision to shelve Heroine was apparently taken last week. “It was not an easy decision. There was a lot of ‘yes’ and ‘no’ between Madhur and his team. However, they finally decided to do away with it,” a source tells Mumbai Mirror.
Now there is a buzz that the director is working on a male-dominated script that he will work on after Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji.
Change is always good, Madhur!
