The Central Board of Film Certification might have passed the song DK Bose without a single cut, but masses are fuming over the lyrics that sound obscene when played in loop.

Information and broadcasting (I&B) ministry and censor board have been receiving angry letters from people questioning censor's decision to clear the song DK Bose from Delhi Belly. The I&B ministry has written to the censor board asking them to look into the matter, reports Mumbai Mirror.

A senior member from the censor board, on request of anonymity, confirmed the same to Mumbai Mirror, “Haan aisa hota hai. If there is a public protest against any decision taken by the board, the I&B ministry asks the board to justify their actions.”

It has emerged that it was the sole decision of CEO of the censor board, Pankaja Thakur to give the song a go ahead. “It is enough to have just one member present for any screening,” the source added.

The lyrics of the song has apparently evoked strong reaction from parents who are objecting to the song being run in theatres along with U certified films, though Delhi Belly itself has received an A certification. It’s also running on national television.

Pankaja Thakur who cleared the controversial song told the tabloid, “The I&B ministry sent us a complaint that was filed on their website. And we have replied back. And yes, we have also received a few complaints from people. But that’s okay. We even received objections to Sheila Ki Jawaani (Tees Maar Khan) and Munni Badnaam Hui (Dabangg) as well.”

Despite ministry's intervention, Thakur is not ready to give up. “We do not certify backwards,” she said.

Aamir’s spokesperson told the tabloid, “DK Bose is just a name. Some people are capable of seeing abusive language in everything. It depends on how your mind works. We can’t help it.”
