The makers of Notebook have released a new behind-the-scenes video about how debutant actor Zaheer Iqbal transformed into his character.

Actor Salman Khan is set to launch Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl in his next production, Notebook. While Zaheer is Salman’s friend’s son, Pranutan is the granddaughter of late actor Nutan and the daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl. Notebook is a love story set in Kashmir. The makers have now released a new behind-the-scenes video, which provides an inside look at Zaheer’s character in the film, Kabir.

The video shows Zaheer talking about how he used to dream that one day Salman will spot him dancing at a party and will say, “There is something special about this boy.” It then shows how the newcomer worked on his physique and bagged the opportunity to star in a Salman Khan production five years later.

Talking about his experience working in the film, the actor says in the video, “I was playing it really cool but inside I was so nervous.” Zaheer plays a Kashmiri Pandit in the film and can be seen shooting a song sequence for Bumro and some other scenes in the BTS video. It also shows how he shot a specific scene that required him to fall from a height.

The actor has also describes his character in the video. “Kabir is a person very different from me yet very similar to me in some ways. He is not very confident and not an extrovert,” he says.

Director Nitin Kakkar has also spoken about Zaheer in the video. He says, “He is very mature for a change. He is a go-getter. His energies are very positive and the way he looks at everything is very positive.”

His co-actor Pranutan praises him in the video and calls him the ‘perfect hero’. The makers have already released two songs from the film - Laila and Bumro. The latter is a remixed version of the Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta number from 2000’s Mission Kashmir, with different lyrics. Notebook is scheduled to release on March 29.
