Imran Khan continues shoot despite injury

Director Milan Luthria is mighty impressed with Imran Khan. So much so that the filmmaker has gone ahead and paid young Imran one heck of a compliment — by likening his commitment towards work with that of his uncle Aamir Khan.
Here’s what exactly earned Imran the words of praise from Luthria. While shooting a fight sequence for their upcoming release, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara (OUATIMD), it seems Imran had hurt himself (a bad neck injury). But, instead of calling for a time out, he continued to shoot.
Milan says, “We were shooting a scene where he (Imran) had to fall and tumble three-four times on the pavement and roads. No matter how you do it, it’s going to hurt. It was only two-three days after shooting the scene that Sonakshi (Sinha) mentioned that Imran seems to be in a lot of pain. That’s when I realised that he was trying his best to hide it.” Imran was in pain for a week, and he was shooting two films simultaneously — OUATIMD at night, and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein during the day.
“All through the film, he has given his best. Even when there are changes in schedule, he stays committed,” says Milan, adding, that he learnt two things about Imran. “He never said ‘no’. Even if he was busy, he always came within an hour, whether it was for a reading or a look test. That encourages a director a lot. Also, he’s been able to do tough action scenes without any complaints about pain.”
