In pics: Kangana Ranaut performs Ganga aarti in Varanasi
Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut revealed the poster of her upcoming film - Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi - at Dasaswamedh ghat in Varanasi. She also took a dip in the holy waters of Ganga and performed the Ganga aarti. Kangana was accompanied by the crew of her film and her mom, Asha.
In a unique style, Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut unveiled the poster of her upcoming film - Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi - at Dashwamedh ghat in Varanasi. She also took a dip in the holy waters of Ganga and performed the Ganga aarti.
Kangana was accompanied by the crew of her film and her mom, Asha.
Incidentally, Deepika Padukone had also performed Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Holy river in Hrishikesh alongside her mother Ujjala Padukone in April.
Kangana and her crew arrived at the venue by a boat.
The actor unveiled a 20-feet poster of the film at the Dasashwamedh Ghat.
Kangana visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings for her upcoming movie ‘Manikarnika’.
Donning a golden saree, which she teamed with an orange brocade blouse and traditional jewellery, Kangana not only offered prayers but also took a dip in the holy waters of the Ganges and chanted “Har Har Mahadev”.
Directed by Krissh, the film will see Kangana playing the warrior queen, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi in a film titled ‘Manikarnika- The Queen of Jhansi.’
The film will hit the theatres on April 27 next year.
