Kareena Kapoor says Saif Ali Khan asks her why Taimur has to go on play dates all the time

Kareena Kapoor is one of the most sought after female actors of Bollywood. When not working on a movie, she is either busy with endorsements, magazine shoots or even fashion events. In between all of this, she is also raising her son Taimur with husband Saif Ali Khan. However, they do not always agree on how they should raise their child.

She spoke about it on the latest episode of her radio show, What Women Want. Kareena hosted her sister-in-law and Soha Ali Khan on the show and talked about raising their kids with their spouses.

Soha said that her daughter Inaaya loves the swings at her cousin Taimur’s house. So when she suggested to her husband Kunal Kemmu that they should get Inaaya her own swing set, he said that they shouldn’t get her everything just because they can. Kunal says that it is important that she gets excited about looking forward to visiting Taimur’s house. He also says that it is not important for her to be the centre of attention all the time.

Kareena says that Saif also thinks like that. “Kunaal’s attitude is very much like Saif. Even though you two are siblings and are from a similar background. But I think because Saif has had his fair share of actually working in the industry at such a young age and doing everything also on his own, that I think even his attitude is a lot like that. He always constantly fires me. He’s like what is the need to constantly entertain your child. Why does it have to be that he has to go out everyday?,” she said.

Talking about raising Inaaya with a nanny, Soha said that while she grew up with a nanny, her husband Kunal Kemmu did not. “He may not agree with a lot of things but we have compromised on a lot of things,” she said. Soha also said that Kunal thinks going to playdates with the baby is the mother’s job. She did say that he brings a new perspective into raising Inaaya and how she doesn’t always have to be entertained or applauded for everything she does.

Taimur, Kareena and Saif recently spent his second birthday vacationing in South Africa and then in Switzerland. Pictures from their vacation were heavily shared online.
