MNS demands police protection for Nana Patekar

"Nana Patekar is an asset to the country. He is a brilliant actor and the role played by him in the movie based on the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai is worth appreciating. Therefore, we demand that protection be provided to him," MNS MLA Ram Kadam said.

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)has demanded police protection for Nana Patekar, apprehending a possible threat to the life of the actor who portrays a police officer in the Bollywood film The Attacks of 26/11.



"Nana Patekar is an asset to the country. He is a brilliant actor and the role played by him in the movie based on the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai is worth appreciating. Therefore, we demand that protection be provided to him," MNS MLA Ram Kadam said.



He said terror organisations may dislike Patekar's role in the movie and therefore the MNS perceives a threat to his life. "I have demanded police protection to Patekar from Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh and state Home Minister R R Patil," he said.

Nana Patekar wants Uddhav, Raj Thackeray to patch up



Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has appealed to estranged cousins, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS boss Raj Thackeray, to patch up and work together.



"I told them not to stay separately and work together for the benefit of all of us," Patekar said on Rajat Sharma's show Aap Ki Adalat on India TV.



Advani praises RGV's The Attacks of 26/11, advocates Parliament screening

Brilliant, BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani was heard saying again and again aloud at the screening of the Ram Gopal Varma film The Attacks of 26/11 at the Films Division Auditorium at Mahadev Road, New Delhi.







Advani was present there along with various other leaders who cut across party lines to view the film. From Shah Nawaz Hussain to Sanjay Nirupam, from Naveen Jindal to Balbir Punj, from Rak Babbar to Ram Vilas Paswan, they were all there.



The horde of politicians were stunned by the imagery of the film as they watched the unfolding of the most audacious attack on Indian soil post independence.
