Padmaavat soundtrack: Listen to full versions of all songs from the film before it releases next week
Listen to the full soundtrack of Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat before it releases in theatres on January 25.
T-Series has shared the full jukebox for Padmaavat, just a week before the film’s release. The playlist features six songs, two of which (Ghoomar and Ek Dil Ek Jaan), had already been released in December.
The four new songs include Khalibali, Nainovaale Ne, Holi and Binte Dil. While Khalibali and Binte Dil sound like they will feature Ranveer Singh’s Alauddin Khilji, Nainovale Ne seems to be an ode to Shahid Kapoor’s Maharawal Ratan Singh from Deepika Padukone’s Rani Padmavati. Holi, which is a folk song from Manganiyars and Langa, seems to be an intense background song.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film will finally release on January 25 after getting delayed by almost two months due to nationwide protests. Several Hindu groups, such as the Rajput Karni Sena, started protesting against the film ever since it began production early last year.
The groups accused the filmmakers of distorting historical facts, maligning the image of Queen Padmavati and including a rumoured dream sequence between her and Alauddin Khilji. Four states, including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, banned the film from release even after it received a U/A certificate from the CBFC. The filmmakers then moved the Supreme Court against the states’ decision, which ruled that the ban on the film was illegal and it was the states’ responsibility to maintain law and order upon the film’s release.
