Rahul Dev shares pictures from the shoot of Sanjay Dutt-starrer Torbaaz in Kyrgyzstan
Torbaaz, starring Sanjay Dutt as an army officer, is about lives of child suicide bombers of Afghanistan.
The shooting of Sanjay Dutt-starrer Torbaaz has been going on in full swing in the central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan. Many from its star cast have been posting pictures from the sets. On Wednesday, actor Rahul Dev posted some pictures from the film’s sets.
From the picture one gets the sense that Rahul is playing an Afghan man as he wears an elaborate turban, scarf and long shirt. He also sports a thick beard and moustache.
Based on the lives of child suicide bombers of Afghanistan, the film will see Sanjay as an Indian army officer. The film also stars Nargis Fakhri. Torbaaz will have a host of child artists and will also see the debut of TV actor Lizaa Malik and South Indian actor Sneha Namanandi in Bollywood.
Directed by Girish Malik, Torbaaz is a story about child suicide bombers of Afghanistan who have been trained to believe that killing is a virtue and brings glory is in the afterlife.
Lizaa, who will essay the role of an Afghan woman in the film even trained with language experts to ensure she had the Afghani dialect “It is very different. Their language and the way they talk is very different. I was put on to a tutor to learn the basics of the language,” she had said.
Sneha, meanwhile, has worked in more than a dozen Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films and has appeared in several music videos as well. Her latest outing was Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania singer Akhil Sachdeva’s first single Gal Sun.
