Last month, HT Café first reported that Salman Khan will start filming brother Sohail’s next, Mental, in Dubai. Now, as the actor is in the middle of his first schedule in the desert city, he seems to have created nothing less than a frenzy in Dubai. Apparently, his fans have placed themselves across remote parts of the city to keep an eye about his whereabouts.
A couple of days ago, Salman was first spotted at the Saif Belhasa Driving Institute in Dubai to shoot a scene. Soon enough, one of his fans used his Twitter account to confirm the same. “In fact, he also immediately uploaded an amateur video (which isn’t very clearly shot) of Salman’s presence and shoot at Belhasa. Whenever we go around the city, we see a number of fans ready with their video cameras and mobile phones to capture his every movement,” says an insider close to Salman.
Another Twitter follower, Tãriqh Mayur — late on Thursday night — disclosed the star’s next shooting site.
“Just In Tomorrow @BeingSalmanKhan #Mental Shooting wll Take Place at Wonderland #TmkDubai #Dubai #source (sic),” he tweeted with an aerial shot of the amusement park. Two other fans got a picture clicked with Salman and it immediately made its way to the micro-blogging site. It’s believed that the actor will be in Dubai until March 8. “The shoot has just started. Other updates will come soon since Salman is also expected to shoot a sequence at a local mall,” adds the insider.
Interestingly, he might also film at two fashion outlets where his Being Human merchandise is retailed and for which Salman also walked the ramp at a fashion show.
Salman in wonderland
A theme park in Dubai is putting a completely different spin to Salman Khan’s saleability. This weekend, the actor is expected to film at the famous Wonderland Theme and Water Park in Dubai. And if local media reports are to be believed, a group-buying website has been marketing discounted tickets to the amusement park for March 1 and 2, the selling point being a chance to catch the actor live. Apparently, the online ad reads: “Family fun day out at Wonderland; plus watch megastar Salman Khan shoot his new movie.”
