An industry insider reveals, " is playing a burglar in his upcoming film, (HNY). Salman, too, will be portraying the role of a robber in Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut, Kick."

Way back in 1997, Salman had played the role of a small-time thief who indulges in petty robberies in Judwaa, in which he also had a double role.

Incidentally, Judwaa was produced by Sajid too. Shah Rukh, too, in the past has played a conman in Baadshah (1999).

In Happy New Year, the other leading actors too are believed to play conmen.

While this trend may be catching up with the Khans in recent times, it doesn’t come as a surprise for other Bollywood actors.

John Abraham has played a thief in the first instalment of the Dhoom franchise in 2004, while Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have played similar roles in the second part of the same series in 2006.

Ranbir Kapoor played a thief in Besharam (2013) and will reportedly play one again in his next, Roy.
