Shweta Rohira on her rakhi brother Salman Khan: He is a guide for me
Actor-painter-writer Shweta Rohira talks about how Bollywood superstar Salman Khan always supports her.
Having a big brother, who is always there to help and guide, is a blessing. And when that brother is Bollywood’s bhaijaan, actor Salman Khan, one has only good things to say. Actor Shweta Rohira, the rakhi sister of the actor since she was in class six, has a similar bond that has grown stronger over the years.
Shweta says Salman is happy the way her career is shaping her. “He always supports me and appreciates my efforts [whether it’s painting, acting or writing]. I’ve learnt so much from him. The way he walks, talks, performs in front of the camera. He is a guide in himself with the way he deals with life,” she says.
When asked whether the Dabangg (2010) actor has watched her debut play, That’s My Girl, Shweta says, “He could not make it to the premiere because at that time, he was shooting for his film in Abu Dhabi. In a way, I was relieved that he was not there because I would have been nervous performing in front of him,” she laughs.
Shweta adds that Salman knew about the play, which also stars Ananya Dutta and Ananth Mahadevan, He was quite excited about it. “It was not just him; a lot of other family members could not watch the play on the first day. I completely understand that they had commitments. For me what is important is the support of my family, friends and well wishers, it kind of drives me,” she says.
