As it shifts major global research and development activities to India, Korean consumer electronics major Samsung on Thursday said it would hire about 700 R&D software engineers for its centre at Noida.

It has played a leading role in developing software solutions for the company's recently launched series of LCD TVs and television solutions for the hospitality industry," he said.
