'Acid' bottles found outside Manish Tewari's house

Panic broke out after acid bottles were found outside the Chandigarh residence of information and broadcasting minister Manish Tewari at sector 19 in Chandigarh. The police are investigating if any acid attack was being planned at the minister. HT reports.

Panic broke out after acid bottles were found outside the Chandigarh residence of information and broadcasting minister Manish Tewari at sector 19 in Chandigarh. The police are investigating if any acid attack was being planned at the minister. HT reports.

The Union territory senior superintendent police Naunihal Singh said two bottles of liquid were found near the boundary wall of the minister's house. The contents are being verified.

The police sources said two bottles of acid were found near the minister's house by his servant.

He informed the minister after which the police was informed.

Vijay Kumar, the DSP east said the bottles have been sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory CFSL for verifying the contents.

Manish Tewari left from Chandigarh for Ludhiana on Saturday morning.
