Amarinder, initially declined the comment on book by saying that "he won't comment on news reports". But later facing a volley of questions, he defended Rahul Gandhi and criticised Natwar without naming the latter.

"There is nothing wrong if a son tells his mother to stay out of danger", he said, while defending Rahul. He said that he (Natwar) is putting onus on Rahul for not letting Sonia take up the PM's chair. As a son what he told his mother (Sonia) was no wrong, as he had lost his father and grandmother and was worried abou his mother.

Amarinder adds that as a son if Rahul asked his mother not to take up the PM's post, it was his (Rahul) feelings for his mother".

At the same breadth, he, without naming Natwar criticised him for breaching the trust of Gandhi Family. "It's wrong at his (Natwar) part", Amarinder said on disclosing family secrets in book.

"Look I am at fault, if you tell me some secret and next day I disclose it to the media. One is honoured when someone shows confidence on you and share close secret. You are honour bound to maintain it and not to share it with anyone else", he further said.

However, he maintained that he would make detailed comments, only after reading the book.

Bajwa condemns Natwar

Meanwhile, the PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa also condemned former foreign minister Natwar Singh. He said that Natwar is attempting to sell his self-serving autobiography through scurrilous attacks on the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the Gandhi family and the Congress. This is nothing short of treachery on his part to reveal privileged information and conversations apart from inventing scandalous tales. For a person who takes pride in having worked and served under Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to stoop to such a level for personal and political gain is shocking in the extreme", he added.
