Sunil, who hails from Bihar, and Blessey, who is from Chandigarh, have been staying at the orphanage for the past 10 years.

Orphanage warden Acharya Ram Bihari said the whole family of Ashiana celebrated the achievement of the two children.

Expressing her delight over the results, their school principal Vandana said: “They have been outstanding in their studies.

They were always focused and hardworking. Their grasping power and desire to learn always stood them apart from others in the class. Their results have proved that circumstances do not matter, but determination does,” she said.

Sunil aspires to be an engineer and has opted for the non-medical stream in Class 11. “I want to be among the best engineers in the world. I always get fascinated by machines around me,” he said.

Throwing light on his preparations, he said: “I used to study for four hours daily at night, as at that time I could study in peace.”

Blessey, meanwhile, wants to pursue nursing.

“I have always enjoyed my studies and I would take up the medical stream in Class 11. Life is not difficult at Ashiana as we get all facilities to study and lead a good life,” said Blessey.
