Interacting with newspersons, Tanwar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government had only fooled the people of the country with his “jumle” (catchy but irresponsible talks). “The government is a total disappointment to all the sections of the society as it has failed to fulfil any of its promises made before elections.” he said and added that it had failed to provide employment to 15 lakh youths as well as bring back the black money as promised.

In Haryana too, Tanwar said, the BJP government had disappointed the people with the employees of various departments as well as farmers being on the roads agitating against the government’s functioning.

Tanwar said the “Kisan-Mazdoor Samvad Padyatra” which would begin from Yamunanagar on May 29, would be led by several All India Congress Committee (AICC) leaders, including Shakeel Ahmad and Asha Kumari. The party workers would cover at least 25km a day and have night stay in villages, he said adding added that the “padyatra” would cover all the assembly segments of Ambala, Kurukshetra and the Karnal Lok Sabha constituencies. The Congress workers’ march would culminate in Karnal on June 1, he added.

On being asked about former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s separate programme in Kandela on May 31, Tanwar who did not name Hooda, said that anger of people against the BJP had reached to such an extent that every Congress worker and leader should be on roads to reflect people’s anguish.
