Haryana FM presents budget in Assembly
Haryana Finance Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha today presented the state budget for 2012-13 with a fiscal deficit of Rs 7,596.82 crore.
Haryana Finance Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha presented the state budget for 2012-13 on Monday, which showed a fiscal deficit of Rs 7,596.82 crore.
Presenting the budget estimates in the Assembly, Chatha said the total expenditure under the budget estimates was projected at Rs 45,318.93 crore, of which revenue expenditure was Rs 39,783.52 crore and the capital expenditure Rs 5,535.41 crore.
He said while the fiscal deficit was Rs 7,596.82 crore, the revenue deficit was Rs 2,455.55 crore.
Chatha said that education would be allocated Rs 8,245.58 crore, power sector Rs 5,237.72 crore, road and transport sector Rs 4,080.42 crore, social justice and empowerment sector Rs 2,662.24 crore, public health engineering sector Rs 2,212.64 crore, irrigation sector Rs 1,966.89 crore, urban development sector Rs 1,761 crore and health and family welfare Rs 1,653.03 crore.
Besides, agriculture and allied sector would be allocated Rs 1,636.76 crore rural development and panchayat Rs 1,206.59 crore, technical education Rs 307.55 crore, industrial training Rs 190.70 crore and sports Rs 127.17 crore, he added.
