The funds will cater to the construction of morning and evening courts, lok adalats, legal aid clinics, heritage court buildings, state Judicial Academy, alternate dispute resolution centres, training of judicial officers, public prosecutors and court managers, the spokesperson said.

He said the government was also creating 36 courts of special mobile magistrates as well as additional special magistrates for which Rs32.61 crore stood earmarked.

He said these courts were likely to become functional shortly and selection for court managers had been completed and their orders of appointment were likely to be issued by the high court.

The 22 alternate dispute resolution centres would also be established in the districts during the period 13th finance commission award for which construction had already been started in seven area centres, the spokesperson said.

He added the state Judicial Academy would be completed by November this year.
