DSW told student leaders that traffic condition on the campus had reached an alarming stage and hence no party should indulge in car rallies as they only add to the chaos. He told leaders that a meeting had been scheduled with vice-chancellor, AK Grover and representatives of all parties in regard with student council elections on Friday evening. Police officials will also attend the meeting.
Students have been instructed to take permission before staging protests in hostels as some female students had reported about ‘misbehaviour’ by party workers during such protests. Students or party leaders without identity cards, will not be allowed to visit girls hostels. The varsity also warned student parties of the ongoing poster war on the campus and allocated the designated sites for the same. “Those who paste their posters on non- allotted sites will be fined and strict action will be taken,” said DSW.
