Soldiers practise offensive maneouvres near Ropar
Golden Arrow Division concluded the final series of exercise ‘Agniban’ near Ropar on Thursday. Over 15,000 troops of all combat arms and services participated in offensive maneouvers wherein new concepts were validated.

Integrated combat elements of the Vajra Corps also participated in the drill. The highlight was the validation of the fighting ability of the Golden Arrow Division by Lt Gen KJ Singh, GOC-in-C Western Command along with special observers and experts on the concluding day.
The motivated troops exercised in a simulated and realistic battlefield environment wherein new concepts at tactical and operational level were validated for fighting a successful war in a synergised manner.
All elements of command combat decision-making and information warfare were activated.
The western command chief witnessed the culmination of the exercise on Thursday evening and was briefed by GOC of the Golden Arrow Division. The western command chief reviewed integrated operational maneouvers and expressed his satisfaction and confidence in the troops for resolutely facing any future threat.
