The spokesman quoted Polish foreign relations director Jerzy Drozdz as saying that nearly 30 investors and business representatives led by Lubelskie province chief minister Stawomir Sosnowskie would attend the Invest Punjab Summit in October. The delegation would also visit Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana to sign an agreement for collaboration in food processing.

Prospective investors in the sectors of food-processing, pharmaceuticals, and information technology also met the deputy CM. Sukhbir also had a one-to-one meeting with Poland's Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechocinski, who is reported to have told him that Punjab would be the first state that Polish investors would visit since Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Make in India' campaign.
