Use public transport: Bengaluru traffic police urges Lal Bagh flower visitors

Bengaluru traffic police has suggested visitors of Lalbagh Botanical Garden's Independence Day flower show to prefer public transport as the area is facing constant traffic jams due to a huge number of visitors. The deputy commissioner of police (east Bengaluru), Kala Krishnaswamy tweeted, “Flower show being held in Lal Bagh from August 5 to August 15 and a greater number of staff are already deployed to control the traffic. We suggest people visiting the beautiful flower show to use public transport. There is a metro station in Lal Bagh west gate and a BMTC bus stand at Lal Bagh main gate. Shantinagar bus stand and Siddapura bus stand are also available for commuters.”

People from all over Bengaluru are visiting the flower exhibition which is happening after a two-year break because of Covid-19.

On August 5, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated the Lalbagh Botanical Garden's Independence Day flower show, The flower show comes after two years break because of Covid-19 and is themed after father and son duo Dr Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar, both Kannada film stars. Shivrajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar, brothers of the late Puneeth, were also present at the event.
