According to the intelligence agencies, India submitted a 23-page dossier of 15 pro-Khalistani activists residing in Pakistan, containing events from the past four years, during the second round of Kartarpur Corridor talks between the two countries in Wagah in July last year. The dossier had year-wise pictorial details of Gopal Singh Chawla, a key Khalistani element, and his anti-India activities on social media.

The Indian agencies also gave 11 photographs from his Facebook account, including posters of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, as part of the dossier.

The dossier handed over to Pakistan also included the details of Jagroop Singh Rupa, who went with a “jatha” to Pakistan in 2016, and was given arms training by fugitive Sikh militants Lakhbir Singh Rode and Harmeet Singh to carry out terror attacks in India.

Happy, who hailed from Amritsar and was allegedly involved in the murder of Jagdish Kumar Gagneja, the then vice chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for Punjab in 2016-2017, was among eight Khalistan-linked terrorists against whom the Interpol had issued red corner notices last year.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the case of the RSS leader’s murder, has filed a chargesheet against 11 accused persons, including a British national with links to Khalistani terrorists in at least six countries last year.

During its probe, the NIA has found that eight acts of such targeted killings were executed as part of this conspiracy between January 2016 and October 2017 in Punjab. And all the persons targeted belonged to right-wing organisations.

The NIA, in its chargesheet, said the objective of the conspiracy was to destabilise the law and order situation in Punjab and revive Khalistani terrorism in the state.

The NIA investigations revealed that funds were supplied from Italy, Australia and the UK to the perpetrators of the killings. These funds were used by the accused to purchase weapons to execute the murders and fund other logistics.

The NIA chargesheet included the name of Harmeet Singh, Gurjinder Singh, aka Shastri, and Gursharanbir Singh, alias Gurusharan Singh Wahiwala, alias Pehalwan.

Besides them, the NIA has also named Hardeep Singh, alias Shera, Ramandeep Singh, alias Canadian, alias Bagga, Dharminder Singh, alias Guguni, Anil Kumar, alias Kala, Jagtar Singh Johal, alias Jaggi Johal, Amaninder Singh, alias Mindu, Manpreet Singh, alias Mani, and Ravipal Singh, alias Bhunda, who have been arrested.
